NOT AN EASY ROAD...

If you've seen my blog, you probably noticed that I'm currently reading a book on the subject of forgiveness.  Forgiveness had never been my forte and this past summer, as you may have read, God showed me how wrong I have been in many instances where forgiveness on my part was called for.  The Holy Spirit is walking with me on a journey to "total forgiveness" and it is not easy.  I have found that on my way, the scabs on old wounds are being ripped off and it stinking hurts again.  The only remedy, this time that I have purposed in my life to forgive, is total forgiveness and so I've been moved to seek forgiveness.  Pray for me as I begin to retrack.  I recommend the book I have been currently reading, ever so slowly, if you need to be delivered from roots of bitterness because of unforgiven pain...
By the way, it helps that my mother-in-law strategically assigned me to teach on the subject of conflict resolution.  Perfect timing as I want to teach with integrity...

GIVING...

"Anytime you teach about giving, the generous will smile, and the stingy will squirm. That’s what makes it fun!"               Rick Warren

So true.  What do you think?

A HEAVY HEART...

My heart is heavy today.  Not only is it the 9/11 anniversary and I feel so sorry for all those who lost loved ones on that day and those who've lost loved ones because of the war on terror - but also because in a few days the anniversary of my oldest niece's death will arrive.  To top it all off, I just found out through facebook that a lady who was so good to me as a teenager, died 4 years ago of cancer.  Tonight I'll be interviewing a lady from my church who lost her husband on and because of 9/11.  I invited my whole congregation so that we could hear her story and pray for others and the men and women in our country who first respond to danger to save us and those who fight for our freedom.  Today is one of those days I lift my eyes to the hills - my strength comes from up above...yours too.
