HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The last day of the year.  My family and I will receive the new year with our church family.  It's always a good time.  You know, the Bible teaches in Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 that, "When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it.  He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.  It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it."  So many of us will make New Year's resolutions or vows.  Remember your confessions mean something, so steer clear from confessing resolutions that you suspect will be broken a few weeks into January.  I've chosen to make some vows to God that I will be intentional about keeping:

In 2011 everyday,
-I will sing praises to God
-I will have conversation time with God
-I will search in God's Word
-I will delight in the law of God
-I will deny myself and follow Christ
-I will make sure my life testifies for Christ
-I will follow the Holy Spirit's lead

Would you join me?  I know that if you put God first in 2011, everything else will come into place for you.  You can do this...we can do this.
