About day 6 NT in 30...

I have to admit, it was a struggle to get through the chapters yesterday and that was completely my fault.  I did not take time to read throughout the day.  Nevertheless, I got through it.  I was impressed again at how bold Peter and the apostles were.  They spoke to the religious people in their language and then end their discourses with the fact that Jesus is the Son of God, and they crucified Him and He resurrected from the dead...¡TOMA!
I am thoroughly enjoying this venture....

Day 5 NT in 30

The gospel of Matthew was a reminder to me that Jesus was and is amazing.  I love the way He handled the religious fools of His day.  The last few chapters made my knees shake...lol  I want to be ready and go when He comes back.  The first few chapters of the Acts of the apostles gave me chills as I read of being filled with power and Peter's sermon and how he spoke to the Sandedrin.  Wow!  Keep reading people, we are on our way...

JESUS IS THE MAN!

I'm on day four of reading the New Testament in 30 days - and what a journey so far.  My kids are full of questions, my wife is falling asleep (she gets her reading done though).  My thought today is that, man, Jesus was quick with His tongue (in a wise way) and he took advantage of teaching moments but I think I would have been like, "Jesus, what is up with all these parables?"  More reading tomorrow....

New Testament in 30 Days

Last weeks prayer week was enriching.  Tomorrow I start a 30 day journey through the New Testament with my church.  We'll be reading through all 27 books together.  This will be awesome.  I will post daily about my experience...
