JESUS IS THE MAN!

I'm on day four of reading the New Testament in 30 days - and what a journey so far.  My kids are full of questions, my wife is falling asleep (she gets her reading done though).  My thought today is that, man, Jesus was quick with His tongue (in a wise way) and he took advantage of teaching moments but I think I would have been like, "Jesus, what is up with all these parables?"  More reading tomorrow....

In answer to the above question about what Jesus said in Matthew 13:11-13, I will say that Matthew's audience were the Jewish people and Jesus here was making a point about these Jews that did not improve on what they had and so is should be taken away from them. Jesus used parables to simplify the message yet people did refused to understand. The disciples were given this message because they understood and would improve on their knowledge. Hope this helps. Some of Jesus' statements were so simple that they could be complex. In my reading I have found moments of frustration because I would have said it another way. That's how foolish I can be...lol
